Explosion-proof type electric industrial forklift units are special material handling equipment designed for working scenarios with flammable volatile gas, combustible dust or other dangerous explosive factors, such as chemical raw material storage areas, grain and oil processing workshops, new energy production workshops and other sites where ordinary industrial forklifts are not allowed to enter. The first core consideration is the compliance qualification verification. The procurement team shall first sort out the actual hazard level division of the operation site, confirm the type of explosive medium, the normal concentration range, and the long-term ambient temperature and humidity parameters of the working area, then check whether the explosion-proof electric forklift products to be selected meet the corresponding national and industry safety certification requirements, and have complete formal compliance verification documents. The second key consideration is the working condition adaptability assessment. The team shall check the full explosion-proof transformation design of all power-related components, including driving motor, electric control module, lithium battery unit, operation handle and lighting parts, to confirm all live components are equipped with reliable sealing and explosion isolation structure, which will not produce exposed electric spark or overheating surface that may trigger explosion during normal operation, startup, braking and other working states. Besides, it is also necessary to verify parameters including rated load weight, maximum lifting height, minimum turning radius of the product to match the actual channel width, material specification and storage shelf height of the site, to balance operation efficiency and practical use demand.
The third important consideration is the supporting operation and maintenance guarantee system. Before finalizing the procurement, the purchaser shall confirm that the supplier can provide regular professional explosion-proof performance inspection service, compliant replacement of wearing parts, and special safety operation training for on-site operators. The procurement team shall not only focus on the initial purchase cost, but also comprehensively evaluate the performance stability, full lifecycle maintenance cost and safety guarantee of the product, to select the most suitable equipment for the specific working scenario, and build a solid safety defense line for on-site material handling operation.
