For enterprises planning to introduce new electric forklifts to optimize internal material handling efficiency, product trial is an indispensable step to verify whether the equipment matches actual daily operation scenarios. Many procurement and operation teams tend to ignore detailed confirmation of trial support rules from potential suppliers in advance, which may lead to unclear test boundaries, unarranged supporting personnel, and deviation of final trial data from expected results, wasting both sides' time and energy.
First, confirm the effective scope of trial scenario authorization. You need to communicate clearly with suppliers whether the trial equipment can be put into the actual daily operation sites of your facility, including narrow aisle passage, cold storage area, ramp operation area and other special working scenes, rather than only allowing operation in the designated empty test area arranged by the supplier. You also need to confirm the maximum allowable load weight of the trial, the available continuous operation time of each shift, to avoid overusing the equipment beyond the agreed scope leading to unnecessary disputes.
Second, confirm the configuration of on-site supporting services during the whole trial cycle. Clarify whether the supplier will arrange professional technical personnel to stay on site for the first 4 to 8 hours of the trial to guide internal operators to master standard operation procedures, complete basic parameter adjustment, and deal with sudden minor faults in time. You also need to confirm that the supplier will provide free replacement of wearing parts that are naturally consumed during the normal trial process, and clarify the definition of accidental damage liability that may occur during the trial, so that both parties have clear rules to follow in the whole cooperation process.
Third, confirm the data dimension and post-trial supporting report output standard. Communicate in advance that the supplier needs to help record core operation data during the trial, including actual energy consumption per working hour, average handling cycle of a single cargo, equipment response state under full load, etc. The formal trial summary report provided by the supplier needs to list comparative references between test data and your pre-set operation demand indicators, to provide objective data support for subsequent procurement decisions. By sorting out and confirming the above key items one by one before the start of the product trial, the related teams can avoid unnecessary misunderstandings in the cooperation process, ensure that the trial process is carried out in an orderly manner, and fully tap the actual performance characteristics of the electric forklift products to make a more suitable choice for the long-term operation of the enterprise.
