With the continuous promotion of low-carbon logistics concepts, electric forklifts have become one of the most widely used material handling equipment in various industrial scenarios in recent years. Different from traditional internal combustion counterparts, electric forklifts rely on electric power systems to complete lifting, carrying and stacking operations, which presents different requirements for users in terms of usage and daily management.
Core Performance Characteristics of Electric Forklifts
Most electric forklift models adopt modular power structure, which produces no exhaust emissions during the whole operation process, and the overall operation noise is controlled at a relatively low level. This feature makes it more suitable for enclosed working scenarios such as indoor warehouses, cold storage and production workshops with high requirements for environmental indicators. The power output of electric forklifts is relatively stable in the whole load range, and the operation sensitivity of the control system can be adjusted according to different usage habits and site conditions, which can meet the handling demands of loads of different weights in conventional scenarios.
Standard Operation Guidelines for Daily Use
Before starting the equipment, operators need to check the remaining power status, the flexibility of the braking system, the integrity of the tire surface and the normal operation of the lifting limit device first, and confirm that there is no obstacle in the driving route before formal operation. During the operation process, operators should avoid rapid acceleration and sharp turning as much as possible, keep the load center within the allowable range of the load weight, and do not carry out over-height stacking operation beyond the rated parameters of the equipment. When the equipment is running at a low speed, the operation of forward and reverse direction switching can be completed directly, but it is not recommended to carry out frequent direction switching for a long time to avoid extra loss of the power system.
Routine Maintenance Suggestions for Long Term Use
After each use, operators should park the equipment in the designated ventilated and dry area, turn off the power supply in time, and clean the dust and debris accumulated on the surface of the body and the operating parts. The battery pack, as the core component of the electric forklift, should be charged in accordance with the specified operation rules, avoid the condition of complete power loss for a long time, and regularly check the connection state of the line interface to prevent poor contact caused by dust deposition. Regular professional inspection of the motor, hydraulic system and control circuit can help find potential hidden troubles in advance, reduce the probability of unexpected downtime in peak operation period, and extend the overall service life of the equipment to a certain extent.
