Electric forklifts are widely used for material handling in modern warehouse sites, and standardized daily operation is the core premise to avoid personal injury accidents and unnecessary property loss. All forklift operators must complete formal professional training and obtain corresponding operation qualifications before taking up posts, and unqualified personnel are strictly prohibited from operating electric forklifts without permission.

The first core safety fundamental is to complete full pre-operation mandatory checks before starting the equipment every shift. Operators need to check the braking system, remaining battery level, and lifting gating smooth state first, confirm the safety warning light, reverse buzzer and other alarm devices are in normal working condition, then check the wear state of tires and clear the foreign matters stuck on the surface. It is also necessary to patrol the surrounding operation area to remove sundries stacked on the driving passage, confirm there is no hidden obstacle affecting normal driving in the route, and the equipment can be started only after all check items meet safety requirements, and it is strictly forbidden to operate electric forklifts with known faults.

The second fundamental is to strictly abide by on-site driving and load handling specifications during operation. The driving speed shall not exceed the upper limit specified by the warehouse management rules, operators need to decelerate and honk in advance at corners, warehouse entrances and exits, and personnel-intensive areas to keep a full clear line of sight. It is prohibited to carry extra personnel on the forklift for riding, and it is not allowed to move the forklift for long distance when the forks are lifted to a high position. Before lifting goods, operators shall confirm the total weight of the goods does not exceed the rated load of the forklift, place the goods in the center of the pallet to avoid unilateral unbalance loading. During the whole driving process, keep a safe distance from the surrounding shelves, walls and other operating equipment, stop to yield to pedestrians immediately when encountering passersby, and do not grab the right of way or drive at overspeed.

The third fundamental is to finish standardized post-operation management after completing the daily work. Operators need to park the electric forklift in the designated special parking area, lower all the forks to the position close to the ground, pull up the hand brake, turn off the power supply and pull out the operation key. Do not leave unstacked goods on the forks, clean up the scattered materials around the operation area, record the daily equipment operation status properly. If any abnormal hidden danger is found during use, report to the on-site safety management personnel in time, and it is strictly forbidden to disassemble or modify the safety related components of the forklift without permission.

Implementing these basic safety rules consistently can help build a more stable and safe warehouse operation environment, protect the personal safety of all on-site staff, and effectively reduce unnecessary operation risks.
