When enterprises plan to place large-volume lithium forklift orders for logistics, warehousing or manufacturing material handling scenarios, completing systematic supplier production capacity verification in advance is a core step to avoid unexpected delivery delays, unqualified product consistency and out-of-schedule project progress.
The first step of verification is document-based pre-audit before field visit. You can request the supplier to provide authentic records of mass production and delivery of same-type lithium forklifts in the past 6 months, including specific delivery schedules, actual shipment quantities, and post-delivery operation feedback archives of former clients. You also need to check the long-term stable cooperation agreements between the supplier and its core upstream component providers covering lithium battery cells, drive motors and controller parts, to confirm the sustainable raw material supply capacity can support continuous production of the whole large-volume order without interruption.
The second step is on-site production line capacity assessment. Arrange professional procurement auditors to visit the supplier’s manufacturing base, and check the daily operation efficiency of core production stations including frame welding, power battery assembly, whole machine wiring and 8-hour aging test zone. Count the number of skilled front-line technical workers, and confirm the reserved production scheduling space within the execution period of your large order, to avoid capacity squeeze caused by overlapping of multiple large orders received by the same supplier.
The third step is small-batch trial order validation. After finishing the above two checks, place a small trial order first, requiring the supplier to follow all formal production, testing and delivery standards for the full order. Track the full cycle of the trial production process, record the actual production efficiency, product performance consistency and factory inspection compliance performance, to verify the real capacity delivery capability in actual operation scenarios. Finally, confirm the regular weekly production reporting mechanism with the supplier, set clear phased output check points, so as to guarantee the whole batch of lithium forklifts can be delivered as scheduled to match your project arrangement.
