Brick-and-tile warehouse heavy material handling zones have distinct operational characteristics: the stacked brick and tile products usually have large unit weight, high stacking height, relatively narrow operation passages, and the ground is easily covered with scattered broken aggregates and dust residues. Unlike traditional internal combustion handling equipment that may produce exhaust emissions, electric forklifts are highly suitable for such closed indoor scenarios, but relevant application points need to be strictly followed to balance operation safety and logistics efficiency.
The first core application point is to do well in load and scenario adaptation check before daily operation. Operators need to confirm the total weight of each pallet of brick and tile products in advance, and strictly match the rated load parameter of the electric forklift, no overloading behavior is allowed in any working condition. It is also necessary to adjust the matching between the forklift body size and the minimum turning radius of the warehouse passage, and select the appropriate fork length to avoid scratching the stacked goods and the wall structure of the warehouse. When inserting the forks into the material pallet, the insertion depth should exceed two-thirds of the total depth of the pallet, to prevent the heavy brick and tile products from slipping during lifting and moving.
The second application point is to make targeted adjustments to adapt to the special working environment. Since the ground of the brick-and-tile warehouse often has residual broken bricks and sand particles, operators need to check the tire condition of the electric forklift before operation, clean up the debris stuck in the tire gap in time to avoid slipping during driving. When the dust concentration in the working area is relatively high, the matching dust-proof protection structure of the equipment can be started to prevent dust from entering the internal circuit components and affecting the operation stability. The whole operation process does not need to start any function that may produce exhaust gas, to maintain the good air quality in the closed warehouse space.
The third application point is to formulate exclusive daily maintenance rules for this high-load scenario. After every 8 hours of continuous operation, the wear degree of the forks and the mast structure should be inspected, the dust attached to the surface of the power battery should be cleaned in time, and the charging maintenance process should be completed in accordance with the standard specifications. Do not park the forklift with full load on the inclined ground for a long time, and check the sensitivity of the braking system regularly, to ensure the braking reliability during the moving and lifting process of heavy materials.
The last application point is to standardize the whole operation process for staff. All operators need to be familiar with the cargo distribution and fixed operation routes in the warehouse in advance, keep the mast tilting back when lifting heavy materials, keep low speed during the whole moving process, and sound the prompt signal in time before turning. No personnel are allowed to stand or pass under the lifting forks, all operations should comply with the warehouse safety management regulations, so as to reduce potential operation risks and realize stable and efficient logistics output.
