The two teams usually form differentiated evaluation perspectives based on distinct division of responsibilities: the procurement team pays more attention to budget control, delivery cycle, compliance review and after-sales support system arrangement, while the workshop team has direct access to frontline handling operations and grasps the actual usage demands under real scenarios. Sufficient two-way communication can fundamentally avoid common problems such as insufficient equipment adaptability and exceeding expected comprehensive operation cost in subsequent stages.
First, the core topic of actual on-site operation scenario requirement confirmation deserves priority discussion. Both teams shall jointly verify key information collected by frontline operators, including the width of daily operation aisles in the workshop, the average load weight of regular transported goods, the maximum lifting height required for storage work, whether the operation area is an enclosed indoor space or a semi-open area with ramps, and the average daily usage duration of the equipment. These practical data can not be replaced by general parameters listed on public product brochures, and full confirmation can effectively prevent the selected forklift from failing to pass narrow passages or failing to reach the required working height.
Second, the alignment of daily operation comfort and maintainability should not be neglected. Frontline workshop staff operate forklifts for several hours per day, so their feedback on operation panel friendliness, riding comfort and steering smoothness should be included into the formal evaluation dimension of forklift research. The two teams also need to confirm the acquisition difficulty of daily maintenance spare parts and the on-site response time of after-sales service together, so as to reduce the possible equipment idle time caused by malfunction.
Third, both teams shall reach a unified standard on total cost assessment covering the full lifecycle of the equipment. Apart from the initial procurement expenditure, they need to jointly calculate the power consumption cost in daily operation, the replacement cost of vulnerable parts, and the depreciation rate within the expected service life, to avoid the wrong decision of only comparing the initial purchase price and selecting a forklift with excessively high subsequent operation cost. After sufficient communication on all above topics, the two teams can form a unified and objective evaluation system for forklift research, which supports the finally selected equipment to meet all daily production operation demands while keeping the comprehensive investment at a reasonable level.
