Against the background of growing low-carbon demand in modern logistics and warehousing industries, electric forklifts have become one of the most widely applied material handling equipment for indoor and enclosed working scenarios. Different from internal combustion counterparts, electric forklifts feature lower noise level, zero on-site emission and relatively simpler daily operation logic, while proper use and regular management can further extend their service life and stabilize overall working performance.
Core Daily Operation Guidelines
For ordinary operators, pre-operation inspection is the essential first step before starting each shift. They need to check the remaining battery power, the flexibility of lifting and tilting mechanisms, the sensitivity of brake and steering system, as well as the intactness of warning lights and safety alarm devices. During operation, operators should avoid sudden acceleration and sharp turn, keep a safe distance with surrounding personnel and stacked goods, and never exceed the rated load capacity marked on the equipment nameplate. When the forklift is running on ramp areas, the load side should face the upper slope direction to avoid accidental slipping risks.
Routine Maintenance Points for Long-Term Stable Performance
Regular maintenance work can effectively reduce unexpected equipment failures and cut down long-term operating cost. For the power battery module, operators should follow official charging specifications, avoid over discharging the battery to extremely low power level before charging, and keep the surface of battery pack clean and dry to prevent liquid corrosion. The tire wear condition should be checked every week, and foreign objects embedded in tire tread need to be cleared timely. For the hydraulic system, the oil level and oil quality should be inspected at fixed intervals, and users should replace the hydraulic oil according to the specified service cycle to ensure the stability of lifting performance.
Scenario-Based Application Optimization
For different working scenarios, users can adjust the use habit of electric forklifts to get better performance. In narrow aisle warehouses, operators can choose corresponding attachment parts to improve the flexibility of goods stacking without modifying the main body of the equipment. For low-temperature working environments, it is recommended to store the forklift in a constant temperature indoor space when not in use, to avoid the sharp drop of battery output performance caused by prolonged exposure to extremely low temperature. For long-time continuous working shifts, users can arrange reasonable rotation of spare batteries to avoid unexpected shutdown caused by power shortage during peak working hours.
