Warehouse managers take charge of daily on-site operation order, personnel safety and material turnover efficiency, and mastering the full logic of electric pallet truck stability is a necessary skill to avoid unnecessary safety accidents and unplanned operation downtime.
First, it is essential to clarify the internal factors that directly affect the stability of electric pallet trucks. Overloading beyond the rated load capacity is the most common improper operation that breaks the vehicle balance. Even for goods that do not look heavy, uneven stacking that shifts the center of gravity outside the designed load support range will easily lead to side tilt or rollover when the vehicle moves, turns or stops suddenly. Staff should also confirm the load state before each start-up, to make sure all goods are placed flat on the pallet and the gravity center stays within the middle area of the vehicle load fork.
Second, external environment factors cannot be ignored during daily use. The flatness, friction degree and clean state of the warehouse pavement have direct connection with the vehicle stability. Remaining sundries on the working aisle, uneven ground seams, or wet slippery surface after cleaning will reduce the tire grip of the electric pallet truck, which may cause accidental sideslip when operators make sharp turns or run at too fast speed. Warehouse managers should arrange regular patrols on the working aisles to clear obstacles in time, and remind operators to slow down when passing areas with bad pavement conditions.
Third, standardized daily maintenance work is the key to maintain long-term stable performance of the equipment. Arranging regular inspections on tire wear degree, brake sensitivity, lifting mechanism tightness and battery fixing state can eliminate hidden dangers that undermine operation stability in advance. Worn tires that lose enough friction should be replaced in time, and loose parts related to the balance structure should be adjusted by professional personnel according to the operation manual.
Fourth, standardized operation training for frontline users is also an indispensable part. All operators should master the basic rules including load limit confirmation, speed control on turning sections, proper operation on small ramps, to form good operation habits that prioritize safety and stability over blind pursuit of working speed.
Adequate management on electric pallet truck stability will effectively reduce the on-site operation accident rate, extend the service life of the handling equipment, and provide more reliable support for the efficient and orderly daily material turnover of the whole warehouse.
