Electric pallet trucks are widely used in modern warehousing, manufacturing and logistics distribution scenarios as core low-intensity material handling tools. Many operation managers notice that the actual service life of the same type of electric pallet truck may show obvious differences when used in different sites, and the working environment is one of the most core influencing factors that are easy to be ignored in daily use.
The ground condition of the operation area is the most direct factor affecting the loss of electric pallet trucks. Long-term operation on uneven grounds with pits, bulges or residual sharp sundries will increase the extra load of driving motors, accelerate the wear of walking wheels, and even cause unexpected damage to the internal structural parts of the chassis. If the ground accumulates oil stains, water stains or chemical residues for a long time, the contact parts of the vehicle chassis are prone to premature corrosion, and the risk of circuit short circuit will also increase accordingly. Keeping the operation ground flat and clean can effectively reduce unnecessary wear of the equipment.
Ambient temperature and humidity also have a prominent impact on the service life of core components. When the equipment works in a high-temperature environment for a long time, the heat dissipation efficiency of the power battery and electronic control system will decrease, the aging speed of the internal circuit board insulating layer will accelerate, and the performance of the driving motor will also decline accordingly. In low-temperature and high-humidity scenes, the activity of the battery electrolyte will decrease, the number of effective charge and discharge cycles will be reduced, and the exposed metal terminals are more prone to rust and poor contact. Controlling the operation environment temperature within the recommended range of the equipment can effectively prolong the stable operation period of core components.
Suspended impurities in the air are also a potential factor that shortens the service life of electric pallet trucks. For operation sites with a large amount of dust, wood chips or fiber debris, these impurities are easy to enter the internal heat dissipation gap of the motor and the heat dissipation hole of the electronic control system with the air flow, blocking the normal heat dissipation channel, which will lead to frequent over-temperature protection of the equipment in serious cases, and even cause irreversible damage to the power components. Regularly clean the surface and internal heat dissipation structure of the equipment can effectively avoid the hidden danger caused by dust accumulation.
For special scenarios with weak corrosive gas, it is also necessary to do a good job of regular appearance maintenance and sealing part inspection of the electric pallet truck, so as to avoid the corrosive components eroding the metal frame and sealing rubber parts. Understanding the influence law of the working environment, and formulating targeted daily maintenance and site management rules according to the actual use scenario, can help the electric pallet truck maintain stable operation performance for a long time, reduce unnecessary failure rate, and bring more stable return on investment for the enterprise.
