As the core material handling equipment widely applied in modern closed warehouses, manufacturing workshops and distribution centers, electric forklifts gain wide recognition for their low local emission, low operating noise and relatively low long-term use cost. Mastering standard operation and scientific maintenance rules can help teams give full play to the performance of such equipment and create higher operational value for logistics scenarios.
Core Safe Operation Specifications
Before each startup, operators need to conduct pre-inspection work covering remaining battery level, braking system sensitivity, mast lifting flexibility and fork surface integrity. It is not allowed to operate the equipment beyond its rated load, or carry passengers on the forklift body in any working scene. When the lifting height of goods exceeds 2 meters, operators need to slow down the driving speed and keep the mast slightly tilted back to avoid accidental falling of goods. When turning at narrow warehouse aisles, the operator needs to send out prompt signals in advance to remind surrounding staff to avoid the operation route.
Standard Daily Maintenance Routines
After each shift operation, operators need to wipe off dust, residual packaging fragments and oil stains on the equipment surface, and avoid washing the electrical components of the equipment with high-pressure water directly to prevent short circuit. For the common lead-acid power battery, it is necessary to check the electrolyte level regularly during the use process, and add qualified distilled water in time when the liquid level is lower than the standard scale. Operators should avoid deep discharge of the power battery as much as possible, and do not store the equipment for a long time under the state of power less than 20%. The wear degree of solid or pneumatic tires should be checked every week, and the tires should be replaced in time when obvious cracks or excessive wear are found.
Energy Efficiency Optimization Suggestions
In daily use, teams can reasonably plan the handling route in advance to reduce invalid driving distance and avoid repeated detour operations. Operators should keep smooth acceleration and deceleration operation habits, reduce frequent sudden braking and sudden acceleration behaviors, which can effectively reduce unnecessary power loss. When the equipment is in idle state for more than 10 minutes, it is recommended to turn off the main power switch to avoid long-time no-load operation of the driving motor. Regular calibration of hydraulic system pressure can also reduce extra power consumption, effectively extend the single-shift battery life, and reduce the overall use cost of the equipment.
