Most classified industrial zones with flammable gas, combustible dust or volatile organic solvent storage and production scenarios have clear mandatory access rules for all mobile material handling equipment, and explosion-proof electric forklifts as the core handling tool must strictly follow corresponding parameter constraints to meet regional safety standards.
The first category of constraints focuses on power system parameters. The surface temperature of all battery packs, power circuits and driving components shall not exceed the preset temperature threshold corresponding to the lowest ignition point of flammable media in the working zone under any normal operation or accidental fault condition. The sealing grade of the power unit shell shall be no lower than the specified level to prevent combustible dust or gas from penetrating into the internal circuit, and the current limiting parameter of the whole circuit shall be kept within the safe range to avoid arc spark generation caused by short circuit.
The second category of constraints targets action execution components. The movement gap of all lifting motors, steering motors and walking driving mechanisms shall meet the specified explosion-proof clearance requirements, and the friction generated in the relative movement process will not reach the condition of spark generation. The system pressure of hydraulic lifting unit shall be controlled within the allowed range, and the static discharge resistance of all operation levers, vehicle body shell and metal contact parts shall be kept in the standard interval to avoid static accumulation and discharge spark.
The third category of constraints covers environmental adaptation parameters. All equipment parameters shall match the hazard classification level of the specific industrial zone, and the insulation resistance of the whole vehicle, grounding continuity resistance and other indicators shall be calibrated and verified periodically. Operation and maintenance teams shall check the parameter status of the explosion-proof electric forklift before each entering the classified industrial zone, and carry out professional calibration regularly to ensure all indicators stay within the constraint range, so as to eliminate potential safety risks in daily material handling operations.
