As the core equipment for modern indoor and enclosed outdoor material handling, electric forklifts have been widely applied in various logistics, manufacturing and distribution scenarios in recent years. Proper operation and regular management can effectively extend service life, reduce unexpected downtime, and bring stable value to daily material transfer workflows.
Core Daily Operation Specifications
Before each shift, operators need to conduct full pre-start checks including battery power level, brake responsiveness, fork surface wear condition and warning light functionality, to eliminate hidden risks before starting formal operation. During operation, operators should avoid excessive load beyond the rated capacity, adjust driving speed according to site conditions, and keep proper safety distance with surrounding staff, shelves and obstacles. It is not recommended to implement frequent sharp turns, emergency brakes or long-time full-load climbing, which may cause extra consumption to core components such as motor and hydraulic system.
Standardized Preventive Maintenance Routines
Following a regular preventive maintenance system can avoid most common unexpected faults. For power battery parts, operators should avoid overcharging or deep discharging below the allowed lower limit, wipe the electrode contacts regularly to keep them dry and clean, and check the sealing performance of the battery shell periodically. For hydraulic and walking systems, staff need to inspect the hydraulic oil level and tire wear status at fixed intervals, replace the aging sealing parts and worn tires in time, and keep the body surface clean to avoid accumulated dust blocking the heat dissipation channels of the motor.
Scenario-Based Usage Optimization
Different operation scenarios require targeted adjustment of usage strategies to achieve better performance. For narrow aisle warehouses, operators can adjust the corresponding motion parameters properly to fit the limited operation space, reducing the risk of accidental collision with side shelves. For low-temperature operation environment, it is suggested to take certain protective measures for the battery pack to reduce performance attenuation caused by extreme temperature. If the equipment needs to be stored for more than 7 consecutive days, users should adjust the battery power to the appropriate storage level and park the vehicle in a dry, ventilated place with stable temperature. Scientific management of electric forklifts can create more stable operation benefits for the whole material handling system.
