Against the background of accelerating low-carbon transformation in the logistics industry, electric forklifts have become one of the most widely used material handling equipment in indoor warehouses, retail distribution centers and light industrial production workshops for their zero local emission, low operation noise and relatively low long-term use cost. Mastering scientific operation and management methods can give full play to the performance advantages of such equipment and avoid unnecessary operation risks.
Core Pre-operation Inspection Specifications
Before starting each shift of operation, operators need to conduct a targeted inspection of the core components of the equipment. First, confirm the remaining power level of the power supply unit to avoid sudden power loss in the middle of cross-area handling operations. Second, test the flexibility and reliability of the braking system and steering mechanism to eliminate hidden dangers of unresponsive control. Third, check the surface condition of the lifting forks and the tightness of the connecting parts, and confirm that all warning lights and sound prompts can work normally. If any abnormal situation is found during the inspection, relevant problems should be dealt with in time before putting the equipment into use.
Standardized Operation Tips to Reduce Wear and Tear
In the daily operation process, operators should avoid frequent sharp acceleration, sharp braking and sharp steering as much as possible, and keep the load within the rated load range marked on the equipment body. When the equipment is driving, the bottom of the lifting forks should be kept 10 to 20 centimeters above the ground, and the height of the forks should be lowered appropriately when passing through low aisles or passages with height restrictions. It is not allowed to stand or walk under the suspended lifting forks during operation, and no personnel other than the designated operator should take the equipment under conventional conditions.
Daily Routine Maintenance Best Practices
For daily maintenance, operators should avoid long-term deep discharge of the power unit, and replenish power in time when the remaining power drops to the set reminder threshold. The heat dissipation structure of the driving motor and the power supply unit should be cleaned of accumulated dust and debris regularly to ensure good heat dissipation effect. The hydraulic oil circuit system should be checked periodically for leakage, and the lubrication points of the transmission and walking structure should be lubricated on schedule. When the equipment is not in use for a long time, it should be parked in the designated ventilated and dry area, the parking brake should be pulled up, and the lifting forks should be fully lowered to contact the ground.
In different application scenarios, users can also adjust corresponding operation details according to the actual ambient temperature, site width and daily operation density to further match the actual demand of local material handling, and obtain more stable operation experience.
