Introducing a new electric pallet truck fleet to your warehouse operation brings obvious optimization to material handling efficiency, but completing a standardized pre-delivery operator orientation for all frontline users before formal use is an indispensable first step that cannot be skipped. This systematic orientation program is not a mere formal process, but a targeted training session to help operators build full awareness of the equipment, avoid misoperation risks, and lay a solid foundation for long-term stable fleet operation.
The first core module of the orientation is basic hardware cognition. Trainers will guide all operators to identify every key component of the electric pallet truck one by one, including the layout of the emergency stop button, load limit marking, power status display panel, and multi-function control handle. Trainees are required to clearly master the trigger logic of all safety protection mechanisms, so that they can take correct response actions within the shortest possible time when abnormal situations occur during subsequent operation. No operator is allowed to enter the practical operation link before passing the hardware cognition check.
The second part is hands-on basic operation practice, which is arranged in a closed, obstacle-free test area independent of normal warehouse operation. Trainees will practice no-load traveling, steering adjustment, pallet fork lifting and lowering control, to get familiar with the operation sensitivity of the equipment under different running status. Trainers will also demonstrate the correct operation logic on flat ground, slight slopes and other common warehouse road conditions, and popularize basic operation rules such as no overloading, no carrying personnel, and no sudden sharp turn on slopes to eliminate wrong operation habits from the very beginning.
The next module covers typical risk scenario simulation. Trainers will restore several common hidden danger scenarios in daily operation, including offset loaded goods, low battery alarm, and sudden pedestrian intrusion into the driving path, guiding trainees to make proper response instead of taking dangerous actions that may cause cargo falling or equipment damage. After the simulation exercise, all operators will receive the teaching of pre-shift daily inspection process, learning to check brake sensitivity, tire wear status and battery connection stability before each use, and report any hidden faults in time instead of operating abnormal equipment.
After all modules are finished, a simple assessment will be arranged to confirm every trainee has mastered all core points of the orientation. A standardized pre-delivery orientation can effectively reduce the probability of unplanned downtime and operation accidents, extend the service life of the whole new fleet, and create a safer and more efficient material handling working environment for the warehouse.
