When enterprises expand their global forklift supply chain layout and start cooperation with new overseas forklift manufacturing vendors, implementing systematic and standardized risk control measures is the core prerequisite to avoid unnecessary losses, ensure product compliance and stable delivery.
The first core control link is the pre-cooperation qualification verification. Before formally signing any cooperation agreement, the procurement team should comprehensively verify all valid qualification documents of the target vendor, including local production safety operation permits, product certification documents that meet the safety and environmental protection standards of the final use area, and historical quality records of similar industrial handling equipment produced in the past three years. All submitted paper and electronic documents need to be cross-verified through official channels to eliminate risks such as expired qualifications and false certification materials. The team also needs to conduct on-site visits or entrust a qualified local third-party institution to inspect the actual production site, to confirm that the vendor has complete production equipment and professional technical team that meets the production scale requirements.
The second key control link is the full supervision of the production process. After the cooperation takes effect, both parties should clarify the detailed parameter standards of the finished forklift, the type and specification of core spare parts, and the allowable error range of product performance in the signed legal document. The inspection personnel should carry out regular random inspections on the production line, focus on checking the implementation of the testing procedures for the power system, braking system and load-bearing structure of the forklift, and prohibit any unauthorized replacement of agreed raw materials or parts. The pre-production sample of each batch should go through a full 72-hour continuous operation test, and the batch production can only be started after all test indicators meet the pre-agreed standards.
The last necessary control link is the post-production risk barrier. Before the goods leave the factory, the team should carry out a full sampling inspection of the finished products to exclude defective products from entering the cross-border logistics link. Both parties should clarify the division of responsibilities for possible cargo damage during long-distance transportation, and build a cross-timezone after-sales response mechanism in advance, specifying the response time for fault feedback and the cycle of spare parts replacement, to ensure that the normal operation of the terminal material handling scenario will not be affected by untimely after-sales support.
Through the above multi-dimensional risk control measures, the cooperation between both parties can avoid most common disputes, and the safety performance of the forklift products put into use can be guaranteed to the maximum extent, promoting the long-term stable operation of the cross-border forklift supply chain.
