When planning to introduce lithium-ion reach trucks to optimize indoor material handling efficiency, completing full verification of on-site supporting conditions in advance can effectively avoid mismatching between equipment and actual scenarios, and bring more stable long-term operation performance.
First of all, it is necessary to confirm the load-bearing capacity of the working ground. The maximum load of reach trucks with full load at maximum extension will generate larger unit pressure on the ground than ordinary pallet trucks, so you need to check the maximum allowable floor load value of the warehouse, including the load capacity of elevator passage, ramp and interlayer floor, to ensure the normal operation of equipment without causing damage to the ground structure. You also need to check the flatness of the ground, and confirm whether there are obvious grooves, bulges or slippery areas that may affect the running stability of the truck, and arrange targeted adjustment in advance if related problems are found.
Secondly, confirm the actual net width of the operating aisle and the available height of the storage shelf area. Lithium-ion reach trucks require specific reserved space for turning and stacking operations. The measured net aisle width should be larger than the minimum required turning space of the selected equipment to ensure that the truck can pass through smoothly in daily handling operations. For high-position stacking scenarios, you need to confirm the actual clear height from the ground to the lowest point of the roof or the anti-collision beam of the shelf, and exclude the space occupied by lighting, pipes and other facilities, to ensure that the maximum lifting height of the equipment can meet the actual storage access requirements.
Thirdly, check the matching degree of on-site charging and power supporting conditions. Lithium-ion reach trucks need special independent charging areas with good ventilation, and the on-site power supply configuration should match the rated parameters of the supporting charger to avoid potential safety risks caused by mismatched power load. You also need to verify the setting position of the fire-fighting facilities around the operation area, and ensure that the daily operation and charging area of the equipment are located in the effective coverage of relevant fire prevention facilities. After completing the above series of verification work, you can more accurately select the specification model of lithium-ion reach trucks that fully matches the actual scenario, and obtain better use experience in subsequent daily material handling work.
