The core daily handling demands with stable usage scenarios, such as regular pallet moving in standard aisle widths, can be fully covered by locally stocked standard lithium forklift models, which can be deployed to operation lines within reasonable short cycles to avoid unnecessary downtime caused by equipment vacancy. For these standardized stock units, teams can sign flexible reserve agreements with qualified suppliers to lock a reasonable amount of inventory matching their monthly regular usage, without paying excess occupation cost for too long equipment storage.
Then, for special operation scenarios that cannot be covered by standard models, including narrow aisle access, special load weight range adaptation, or specific on-site environment adaptation like cold storage or special safety requirement zones, custom-built lithium forklifts can be arranged for production with reasonable lead time planning. Teams can submit all customized functional requirements at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance of the expected deployment time, and synchronize demand confirmation, production progress tracking and pre-delivery test in advance, so that the custom units can be docked seamlessly with existing on-site standard stocked fleets.
Next, establishing a dynamic demand prediction mechanism is the core link to balance the two indicators. Teams can count their past 12 months of forklift usage data, peak operation cycle rules, and future business expansion plans, to make a clear proportion plan between stocked standard models and custom units, which can not only respond to sudden temporary order surges with available local stock, but also avoid delaying the construction of new operation zones due to long lead time of custom equipment. It is not recommended to overstock too many lithium forklift units blindly, which will lead to unnecessary capital occupation and idle equipment loss, nor arrange all equipment procurement with custom-built solutions that may extend the waiting period. Regular communication with suppliers about their stock update and production schedule is also a necessary measure to adjust the procurement arrangement dynamically, to ensure the whole fleet layout matches the actual operation demands at the reasonable comprehensive cost.
