In modern warehouse and logistics distribution scenarios, mixed operations that cover both bulk palletized cargo and scattered small batches of goods are extremely common. Many frontline operators need to use electric pallet trucks and auxiliary hand trucks to complete cross-scene cargo transfer work at the same time. Mastering standardized transfer techniques can effectively reduce operation friction, lower the probability of cargo damage, and ensure the smooth progress of daily operation tasks.
Before starting the mixed transfer work, sufficient pre-operation preparation is the foundation of safe and efficient task completion. Operators should first check the running status of the electric pallet truck, confirm the remaining power, the flexibility of the lifting and lowering function, and the braking sensitivity, then check the structural stability and load-bearing performance of the matching hand truck. Next, sort out all to-be-transferred goods by weight, volume, and placement requirement, mark fragile or special goods separately, and plan the whole transfer path in advance to avoid passing through slippery sections, crowded pedestrian passages, and areas with uneven ground as much as possible.
In the actual transfer process, reasonable docking and switching skills between electric pallet trucks and hand trucks are the core of mixed operation. When transferring goods from the pallet carried by the electric pallet truck to the hand truck, the operator should first adjust the fork height of the electric pallet truck to the same level as the carrying platform of the hand truck, to avoid the height difference that leads to sliding or dumping of goods during pushing and moving. For narrow aisle scenarios that are not suitable for electric pallet trucks to pass directly, you can park the electric pallet truck at the open passage port, move the goods that need to enter the narrow area to the hand truck in batches, and transfer them to the designated position. In the process of cross-equipment transfer, do not place overweight goods beyond the rated load range of either of the two devices, and keep the movement of pushing and pulling goods gentle, to avoid impact caused by excessive force.
In the whole process of mixed operation transfer, operators also need to stick to basic safety specifications all the time. Do not place sundries unrelated to the operation on the running equipment, keep a safe distance from surrounding personnel when moving equipment, and avoid sudden direction change or emergency braking at will. After the whole transfer task is completed, place the electric pallet truck and hand truck in the designated storage area uniformly, sort out the remaining scattered goods on the equipment surface, and record the abnormal situation encountered in the operation in time. Long-term adherence to standardized operation can effectively extend the service life of the equipment, and bring stable improvement to the overall operation efficiency of the site.
