For daily on-site operation of BYD electric forklifts, practical safety operation habits summarized from long-term use scenarios of global end users can effectively avoid unnecessary operation risks, and help operators get more stable and comfortable use experience.
Before starting the forklift, operators should first walk around the equipment to confirm no obstacles or irrelevant personnel stay within the operation range, check the tire condition, brake sensitivity, power indicator status and lifting accessory fastening situation, confirm all functional parts are in normal state before entering the cab. Do not start the vehicle if any abnormal prompt is found during inspection, and contact the relevant on-site maintenance personnel for troubleshooting in time.
When the forklift is running on the on-site passage, operators should strictly follow the specified speed limit, keep a safe distance with surrounding storage racks, pedestrian passage and other operation equipment, do not make sharp turns when the vehicle is running at high speed, and avoid sudden braking with heavy loads. When carrying goods, operators should adjust the fork distance to match the pallet size, keep the goods centered and stable, do not overload the forklift beyond the rated load range, and the mast should be tilted backward properly to keep the goods stable in the process of moving. When operating the lifting function, do not stand under the lifting forks or the goods, and do not allow irrelevant personnel to grasp any part of the mast to avoid accidental injury. When the operation needs to be carried out on the ramp, do not drive with the goods facing downhill, keep the low speed and stable direction control to prevent slipping risks.
After the daily operation work is completed, operators should park the forklift at the specified parking area, lower the forks completely to the ground, tilt the mast to the original vertical position, turn off the power supply, pull up the hand brake, and lock the cab door properly. Do not leave the forklift with the forks hanging in the air, and do not park the forklift in the slope, cargo channel entrance, fire equipment blocking area and other non-specified locations. Operators are also advised to record the abnormal situation encountered in daily operation in the equipment operation log, so as to carry out regular maintenance and inspection of the equipment in time.
All these safety reminder points are accumulated from the actual use experience of global end users in different operation scenarios including manufacturing factory, logistics warehouse, port transfer and retail storage, which can bring very practical reference value for on-site operators to form standardized operation habits, effectively reduce hidden safety risks in daily work, and create a more secure and efficient forklift operation environment.
