Cold-storage high-moisture environments are common scenarios in food processing, pharmaceutical cold chain and fresh product storage industries, where persistent low temperature and high humidity pose unique challenges for the normal service and safe operation of electric pallet trucks. Unlike normal temperature warehouse environments, condensed water, low temperature brittleness of parts and slippery ground in cold storage will easily trigger hidden safety risks if operators do not follow standardized operation rules.
First, finish comprehensive pre-operation inspection before entering the cold storage area. Operators should complete all inspection steps in the normal temperature zone first, check the sealing performance of all electrical interfaces, confirm there is no residual moisture on the surface of battery compartment and control panel, test the emergency stop function, lifting and moving operation sensitivity, verify the tire wear condition and its adaptability to slippery ground. Do not start formal operation if any abnormality is found, eliminate all hidden risks before the equipment enters the cold storage working zone.
Second, strictly follow the standardized on-site operation rules during the whole working process. Control the continuous operation duration within the rated safety range, avoid long-time high load running of the motor under low temperature condition. Keep a steady running speed during moving, do not take sharp acceleration or sudden brake action to prevent cargo slipping or vehicle sideslip caused by water-logged ground. Do not dismantle the original waterproof and anti-condensation protective cover of the vehicle without permission, do not touch the operation control lever with wet hands. Once the low power alarm is triggered, drive the pallet truck back to the normal temperature charging area immediately, do not prolong the operation forcibly to avoid battery damage or sudden power failure that traps the vehicle in the slippery cold zone.
Third, complete proper post-operation maintenance after finishing daily work. After driving the vehicle back to the normal temperature area, do not cut off the power supply at once, keep the equipment in ventilated status for 10 to 15 minutes to let the surface condensed water evaporate naturally. Wipe off residual moisture on the vehicle surface with dry soft cloth after the cooling process, check the lubrication status of transmission parts every week, replace the applicable special low-temperature lubricating oil on schedule, and arrange professional personnel to conduct full safety inspection for the vehicle every month, to prevent long-term moisture erosion of internal circuits. Following the above specifications can effectively reduce safety accident probability, extend equipment service life and improve cold chain warehousing operation stability.
