As the logistics and warehousing industry continues to pursue low-carbon and low-noise operation modes, electric forklifts have become one of the most widely used material handling equipment in indoor operation scenarios in recent years. Mastering standardized and reasonable use methods can give full play to the performance advantages of the equipment, while avoiding unnecessary operation risks and unnecessary loss of parts.
Core Pre-operation Safety Checks
Before starting the equipment every time, operators need to complete a series of basic inspections without omission. First, check the remaining power level of the power supply system, confirm that the power output state is stable, and there is no obvious damage or leakage on the surface of the power unit. Then check the flexibility of the steering system, lifting system and braking system, test whether the mute warning light and prompt sound can work normally, and check whether the tire surface has foreign matter embedded or excessive wear. Operators should also confirm that the operation channel is free of obstacles and unrelated personnel before formal operation, to prevent accidental collision risks.
Optimizing Daily Operation Efficiency
In the process of material handling, operators should plan the walking route in advance according to the weight and stacking position of the goods, try to avoid frequent rapid acceleration and sudden braking, and keep a stable driving speed suitable for the surrounding operation environment. When lifting heavy goods, the gantry should be kept in a vertical state as far as possible, and the goods should be lowered to a safe height for walking after the picking action is completed, which can reduce the load pressure of the lifting hydraulic component. For high-frequency operation scenarios, the operation schedule can be reasonably arranged according to the equipment load capacity, so as to avoid long-time continuous overload operation that leads to performance attenuation.
Routine Maintenance to Extend Service Life
Daily maintenance work can effectively reduce the failure rate of electric forklifts in the long-term use process. After each shift, the surface dust and residual cargo debris of the equipment should be cleaned in time, focus on removing the sundries adsorbed around the heat dissipation module, to ensure that the heat dissipation efficiency of the core components remains in a good state. The connection points of the power supply line should be checked regularly to confirm that there is no loose connection or oxidation of the contact part, and the lubrication points of the transmission structure should be filled with special lubricating oil according to the specified cycle to reduce the friction loss between mechanical parts.
Energy Consumption Reduction Best Practices
Reasonable energy management measures can effectively extend the single continuous operation time of the equipment. It is recommended to complete the charging operation in time when the remaining power is lower than the preset threshold, avoid long-term power loss storage of the power unit, and maintain the stable performance of the battery pack. When the equipment is in standby for a long time, the power system should be turned off in time to avoid unnecessary power consumption, and the working environment temperature should be kept within the suitable range of the equipment as far as possible, so as to avoid the adverse effect of too high or too low temperature on the energy output efficiency.
