As the application scope of electric forklifts keeps expanding in modern logistics, manufacturing and warehousing scenarios, a smooth delivery handover can effectively avoid unnecessary downtime and operation risks for enterprises. Completing proper preparation work before the delivery arrival can help buyers verify product conditions quickly, arrange subsequent deployment properly, and maximize the usage value of the equipment in daily operations.
The first core preparation part is site and space arrangement. Buyers need to clear a flat, hard area that matches the overall size and weight of the scheduled electric forklift in the receiving zone, making sure there are no sundries, barriers and potential water accumulation points within the range. The reserved space should leave at least 1 meter of safety clearance around the forklift body, so that delivery personnel can carry out unloading and temporary placement operations safely. Besides, the access road from the unloading point to the subsequent fixed operation area of the electric forklift should also be pre-inspected to eliminate obstacles that may affect the smooth passage of the equipment, such as low height limits, unconsolidated road surfaces and narrow turning spots.
The second part is reasonable personnel arrangement. Buyers need to arrange corresponding responsible personnel for different links of the receiving work in advance. The first is the handover responsible person who is familiar with the procurement contract terms, who will confirm the delivery quantity, configuration specifications and related service clauses with the delivery side staff. The second is the operation or maintenance personnel who have received basic electric forklift operation training, who can participate in the appearance inspection and initial functional test of the equipment, and judge if there is obvious abnormal situation during the preliminary startup process. All arranged personnel should be notified of the estimated delivery arrival time 24 hours in advance, to avoid waiting delays caused by unavailability of related responsible persons.
The third part is inspection tool and supporting resource preparation. Before the arrival of the delivery, buyers should prepare basic inspection tools in advance, including non-contact voltage tester, appearance inspection record form, portable measuring device for key dimension verification, as well as shooting equipment used to record the status of equipment when abnormalities are found. If the purchased electric forklift is equipped with battery modules that need to be connected to the power grid for the first time, buyers also need to check if the matching dedicated charging facility has been installed and debugged completely, and confirm the safety protection configuration around the charging area meets relevant industrial safety standards.
The last necessary preparation part is document sorting and confirmation. Buyers should sort out the signed procurement contract, pre-confirmed configuration list in advance, and set aside dedicated file storage space to store the delivery note, operation manual, daily maintenance guide and warranty statement handed over by the delivery side. After all parties confirm the handover is qualified, relevant responsible persons can sign the confirmation document properly, to lay a solid foundation for the subsequent formal use of the electric forklift.
