Electric forklifts are core handling equipment widely used in modern warehouse operations, and standardized operation directly affects the personal safety of all on-site staff and the stability of daily operation. A well-designed safety training calendar is a key tool to ensure that no operator misses required training sessions, and forms a regular learning mechanism that integrates safety awareness into daily work habits.
The first step to build a qualified training calendar is to complete pre-planning assessment before arranging any specific sessions. You need to sort out the different qualification status of all on-site forklift operators first, including new employees without operation experience, experienced operators who have not received refresher training for more than 6 months, and staff who only operate electric forklifts in specific functional areas. At the same time, mark all key time nodes that affect work scenarios on the draft calendar, such as peak seasons of incoming and outgoing goods, adjustment of new shelf layouts, introduction of special cargo types, and update of local safety supervision rules, to prepare for targeted training content arrangement.
Next, you can divide the training system into regular modules of different cycles to match the actual operation rhythm of the warehouse. Arrange 1 hour of lightweight training in the first week of each month, which can be arranged in the low peak period of operation to avoid affecting normal work. The content of monthly training can focus on hidden danger review of the previous month, standard steps of daily pre-start vehicle inspection, and operation precautions for narrow passage passing. For quarterly training, you can arrange 2 hours of combined content of theoretical explanation and practical drill, covering load center judgment, ramp operation specifications, and identification of visual blind areas around the vehicle. The semi-annual comprehensive training and assessment includes closed-book theoretical test and practical operation assessment, as well as systematic emergency response drills, such as correct operation when the vehicle loses control accidentally, evasion measures when cargo tilts, and standard process of safety incident reporting.
Finally, reserve a flexible adjustment space in the training calendar, to facilitate temporary insertion of 15-minute special short training when near-miss safety incidents occur, new functions of electric forklifts are updated, or new management requirements are issued. Set up a 3-day advance reminder mechanism for each training, coordinate work scheduling of different shifts to ensure that all operators can participate in the corresponding training without missing sessions. Long-term implementation of such a training calendar can effectively improve the overall safety awareness of warehouse staff, and build a more stable and safe on-site operation environment.
