Indoor general warehouses have strict requirements for operation cleanliness, running noise and personnel safety, which puts forward higher standards for the material handling equipment that runs all day long. In recent years, lithium-ion forklifts have been widely deployed in such scenarios, and a large number of frontline operators have accumulated lots of practical referenceable application experience in long-term daily use.
First of all, the scenario adaptation experience in daily operation. Most indoor general warehouses set aside many narrow aisles for high-density goods storage, and lithium-ion forklifts with compact body structure and flexible steering performance can easily shuttle through these aisles to complete the handling, stacking and picking of goods of different weights. Different from traditional fuel-powered handling equipment, lithium-ion forklifts do not need to reserve special space for fuel storage or polluting emission treatment, which saves more available operation area for the limited indoor warehouse space. In actual use, operators can arrange the charging plan reasonably according to the peak and valley of daily operation. Short-time opportunity charging during the shift break can supplement enough power to support the subsequent 2 to 3 hours of continuous operation, which avoids the long time-consuming battery replacement operation required by other types of electric handling equipment, and effectively reduces the interruption of continuous operation of the warehouse.
Secondly, the practical experience of daily operation and maintenance. In the closed indoor environment, there is no exposure to rain, strong sunlight and other harsh outdoor conditions, the overall service life of the lithium battery pack of the forklift can be maintained at a relatively ideal level. The frontline maintenance personnel can formulate a simple daily inspection checklist, check the battery surface temperature, tire wear status, brake sensitivity and other key indicators before the vehicle is used every day, and arrange professional personnel to complete the regular deep maintenance once a month. During the charging process, the staff should avoid overcharging or full power depletion for a long time, and keep the ambient temperature of the charging area between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius, which can keep the battery performance in a stable state for a long time.
Finally, the safety management experience in the indoor enclosed space. Since there is no exhaust gas emission during the operation of lithium-ion forklifts, it will not cause harmful gas accumulation in the poorly ventilated indoor warehouse, which effectively improves the overall air quality of the working environment for all warehouse staff. The low operation noise of the vehicle will not interfere with the voice communication between operators and warehouse managers, which reduces the risk of collision accidents caused by unclear information transmission. Combined with the actual operation data of many indoor general warehouses, after the reasonable deployment of lithium-ion forklifts and the formation of standardized operation processes, the overall operation fluency of warehouse material handling has been significantly improved, and the comprehensive operating cost has been controlled within a reasonable range.
