High-dust-level raw material warehouses are common in scenarios such as non-metallic mineral processing, building material production and bulk grain storage, where a large amount of fine raw material dust floats in the air or deposits on the ground in daily operations. Traditional internal combustion or lead-acid forklifts often face problems such as easy blockage of heat dissipation channels, corroded conductive contacts, and increased hidden safety hazards when operating in such environments. Lithium-ion forklifts with optimized dust-proof structures can achieve more stable operation effects as long as they are used and maintained in accordance with standardized application specifications.
The first core requirement belongs to pre-operation configuration check. Before starting the equipment every day, operators need to check the tightness of the dust-proof sealing strips of the lithium battery compartment, confirm that the dust-proof filter cotton at the heat dissipation outlet of the vehicle body is not blocked by thick dust, and make sure that all the reserved dust-proof protection structures of the equipment are not removed privately. If loose or damaged sealing components are found, relevant personnel should replace them in time before the equipment is put into operation, to avoid fine dust entering the internal circuit of the battery module and causing poor contact or abnormal heat generation.
The second part is standard operation norms in daily work. In the high-dust warehouse environment, the sight of operators is easily affected by floating dust, so the driving speed of the lithium-ion forklift should be controlled below 3km/h in the working area, and the warning sound should be activated in time when turning or passing the intersection of operation channels, to avoid collision with stacked raw materials which will cause more dust to spill. Operators should not park the forklift directly under the raw material discharging opening during the operation gap, to reduce the continuous accumulation of a large amount of falling dust on the surface of the equipment.
The third part covers regular maintenance specifications. After the daily operation is completed, the staff can use an anti-static soft brush to gently clean the floating dust on the surface of the vehicle, the operation panel and the battery charging port. It is not allowed to use a high-pressure water gun to directly flush the lithium battery module, to prevent moisture from mixing with dust and adhering to the conductive part. The dust-proof components of the heat dissipation system need to be inspected once a week, and the dust accumulation on the pole parts of the battery pack should be detected by professional maintenance personnel every half month, to complete the targeted cleaning and protection work.
Following the above application notes can give full play to the inherent advantages of lithium-ion forklifts, effectively reduce the failure rate of equipment in high-dust scenarios, extend the overall service life, and provide stable support for the efficient operation of raw material turnover in the warehouse.
