As the demand for low-carbon, high-efficiency material handling solutions continues to rise in the industrial sector, electric forklifts have become one of the most widely adopted equipment for indoor logistics and warehouse operations in recent years. Reasonable operation and proper maintenance can bring more stable performance output, reduce unnecessary equipment downtime, and bring considerable value to daily logistics workflows.
Core Performance Characteristics of Electric Forklifts
Different from traditional fuel-powered handling equipment, modern electric forklifts produce no local exhaust emissions during operation, which can effectively avoid air pollution in enclosed warehouse spaces that store food, electronic components or other sensitive goods. The overall operation noise is kept at a relatively low level, which reduces noise interference to on-site staff, and the low-vibration operation mode will not cause additional impact damage to fragile or precision goods during handling. The energy consumption cost per unit of operation is also more controllable in long-term use scenarios, fitting the low-carbon transformation trend of current industrial logistics systems.
Standard Daily Operation Guidelines
Before each start of operation, operators need to check the remaining power level of the power system, the flexibility of the lifting mechanism, the sensitivity of the braking system, and the integrity of the tire surface first, to eliminate hidden dangers caused by long-term idle placement. During the handling process, the load weight should be controlled within the rated load range marked by the equipment, and the center of gravity of the goods should be kept stable at the middle position of the fork arm, to avoid rollover or goods slipping caused by over-lifting or unilateral load. When the equipment is not in use for more than 48 hours, the power system should be kept at a 50% to 80% state of charge as much as possible, to avoid performance attenuation of the energy storage module caused by long-term deep power deficit.
Common Improper Usage Scenarios to Avoid
Operators should not drive electric forklifts in areas with accumulated water that exceeds the height of the chassis, to prevent short circuit of the internal circuit system caused by damp. Unofficial modification of the original circuit structure or power system configuration is not recommended, which may break the original safety protection design of the equipment and cause unnecessary safety risks. It is also not advisable to arrange the equipment for continuous full-load operation beyond the recommended working cycle, which will accelerate the wear of the driving motor and the hydraulic lifting components. Arrange professional and technical personnel to conduct regular system inspections according to the actual working frequency, which can effectively extend the overall service life of the equipment.
