Start the whole introduction process with familiar daily working scenarios instead of directly putting new electric forklifts into formal production tasks on the first day of equipment update. You can arrange a 30-minute pre-explanation session before hands-on practice, to make a functional mapping comparison between the structures that operators already know about diesel trucks and the parts on electric forklifts, covering power output components, brake operation areas, mast control levers and safety warning devices. This way, operators can quickly build a cognition connection between the new equipment and their original operation experience, instead of treating electric forklifts as a totally strange operating device.
Then arrange a low-load idle operation stage in an empty, closed warehouse area, and do not assign formal cargo handling tasks for the first 2 hours. Guide operators to get used to the sensitive, linear acceleration response of electric forklifts, which is different from the slight power output lag of traditional diesel trucks, and let them adapt to the silent operating characteristics, so that they can clearly perceive surrounding pedestrian prompts and on-site environment changes without the noise interference brought by diesel engine operation. It is also necessary to explain the daily pre-shift inspection items unique to electric forklifts in detail, such as battery status check, power connection part cleaning, to show that they no longer need to check fuel level, engine oil level or exhaust emission status as they did for diesel trucks, which can effectively reduce their daily pre-work preparation time.
During the first week of the transition period, arrange experienced operators who have been familiar with electric forklifts to provide accompanying on-site guidance, to answer temporary doubts encountered in actual handling tasks at any time. You can also organize a short sharing session at the end of the first week, collect feedback from operators who are used to diesel trucks, and adjust subsequent guidance arrangements according to their actual work habits, to help more operators gradually recognize the advantages of electric forklifts in low noise, low daily operation cost and smooth running performance. The whole introduction process can be arranged step by step, fully respect the long-term accumulated operation habits of old operators, avoid mandatory quick transition, so as to reduce the overall learning cost stably and orderly.
