Electric pallet trucks are widely used in warehouse sorting, cargo transshipment and short-distance material handling scenarios, whose operation response speed is one of the core indicators that directly affect the overall operation efficiency of the logistics link. Unlike the traditional view that response speed is only determined by the performance of power components, reasonable control system parameter settings play a more critical role in adjusting the matching state of all components, and realize coordinated performance output within the allowable range of equipment safety standards.
The acceleration ramp parameter is the first core item that affects the response speed. This parameter defines the change rate of the power output from the standstill state to the set rated running speed. If the set value is too loose, it will cause a noticeable delay in the actual movement after the operator issues the operation command, which reduces the follow-up feeling of the equipment. If the value is adjusted too aggressively, it may cause the driving wheel to slip instantaneously under heavy load conditions, and even trigger the system overload protection program instead of slowing down the response progress. Operators can make targeted adjustments according to the common load range in daily operation, keep the acceleration curve gentle enough for full-load working conditions, and appropriately shorten the response transition time for frequent no-load scenarios.
The torque output threshold parameter also has a direct impact on the dynamic response performance. The reasonable setting of this parameter can ensure that the driving motor can output matching torque according to the operation command in the first time, and will not cause unnecessary delay due to the excessive redundant judgment of the system on the current load. During the adjustment process, staff need to confirm that the set torque upper limit does not exceed the load bearing range of the power line and the driving assembly, to avoid potential safety hazards while improving the response sensitivity.
The brake and drive response matching parameter is also a key part that is easy to be ignored. This parameter is used to set the switching gap between the brake release action and the power output action when the equipment switches from static state to driving state. When the gap is set reasonably, there will be no obvious pause after the operator presses the acceleration handle, and the whole operation process will be smoother.
All parameter adjustments need to be carried out on the premise of complying with the official equipment operation specifications, and no adjustment beyond the allowable parameter range is allowed for the purpose of excessive pursuit of response speed. After each adjustment, the staff shall carry out repeated tests under no-load, half-load and full-load working conditions, so as to balance the three dimensions of response speed, operation stability and use safety, and finally realize the efficient and reliable operation of the electric pallet truck in daily material handling scenarios.
