Humid processing plants such as seafood processing workshops, fresh food sorting centers and pickling production areas usually maintain a relative humidity above 70% for a long time, with occasional condensed water splashes and weak corrosive medium residues on the ground. Ordinary electric pallet trucks are prone to structural rust, circuit short circuit and wheel skidding after long-term operation in such scenarios, which will increase operation failure rate and reduce work efficiency. For this reason, relevant practitioners need to refer to targeted professional parameters when selecting suitable corrosion-resistant electric pallet trucks to match the actual working conditions.
First, the structural and material parameters are the core indicators to measure the corrosion resistance of the equipment. For all exposed metal fasteners, the reference standard recommends that they should be made of stainless steel material, and the surface of the main load-bearing steel structure should be treated with double-layer epoxy spraying. The equipment can pass at least 72 hours of neutral salt spray test without obvious red rust on the surface. All welding gaps and blind areas on the frame are filled with sealant to avoid residual accumulated water, which will erode the internal structure for a long time.
Second, the circuit and power system protection parameters directly determine the operation safety in high humidity environment. The protection grade of the walking drive motor and the hydraulic lifting pump should not be lower than IPX4, and the sealed protection grade of the central control mainboard should reach IP65 or above. All external wiring interfaces are equipped with matched waterproof rubber plugs, and the independent battery compartment is designed with a special diversion hole to guide the splashed water out of the compartment in time. The battery pack is wrapped with a moisture-proof insulating sleeve outside to reduce the risk of moisture short circuit.
Third, the actual load and running matching parameters help to improve the operation stability on wet roads. It is recommended that the rated load of the selected equipment should be 15% to 20% higher than the maximum weight of conventional handled goods, so as to avoid insufficient traction caused by insufficient friction on humid ground. The running speed can be adjusted in multiple gears, and the maximum speed limit is set below 5km/h in the high gear of wet working condition. The load-bearing wheels are made of high-density micro-groove polyurethane material, which has enough friction on the water-stained ground without damaging the smooth terrace of the workshop.
In the daily use process, the staff also need to regularly check the sealing status of each key part according to the parameter specification, clear the accumulated water in the gap in time, and the equipment can maintain stable operation state for a long time.
