As the core supporting equipment of modern warehouse and logistics scenarios, electric forklifts have been widely applied for their low noise, zero local emission and relatively low long-term use cost. Mastering correct operation and maintenance methods can help relevant personnel give full play to the equipment’s inherent performance, reduce unnecessary component wear and prolong the stable operation cycle effectively.
Core Pre-operation Check Points
Before starting the equipment every time, operators need to complete a series of basic inspections first. First, check the remaining power of the power supply system, confirm the connection part of the power connector is free of looseness or obvious corrosion, and observe whether the tire surface has obvious scars or embedded hard foreign matters. Then test the flexibility of the lifting mechanism and steering system, confirm the normal response of the braking function, and check whether the light and prompt sound devices are in normal working state. These inspection steps usually only take 2 to 3 minutes, which can avoid most hidden safety risks caused by abnormal parts in subsequent operation.
Standard Daily Operation Specifications
During the operation process, operators need to adjust the driving speed according to different site conditions, keep a safe distance from surrounding personnel, shelves and other facilities, and avoid sudden acceleration or sudden braking as much as possible. When carrying goods, the center of the goods should be aligned with the load center mark of the equipment, and overloading is not allowed beyond the specified load range. When the working environment has large slope, operators need to confirm that the equipment can adapt to the slope parameter requirements before moving, and do not turn on the slope with the goods lifted.
Routine Maintenance and Care Suggestions
After the daily operation is completed, the operators should park the equipment in the designated ventilation and dry area, lower the fork to the horizontal position, cut off the total power supply in time, and do a good job of surface cleaning to remove the dust, cargo residues and other sundries attached to the body surface. Regularly check the wear degree of the transmission parts and lubricate the corresponding parts according to the specified cycle, and do a good job of standardized charging management according to the characteristics of the power supply, to avoid the performance attenuation of the power system caused by improper use habits.
