As the core equipment for modern warehouse material handling, electric forklift has been widely adopted for its low noise, zero local emission and relatively low long-term use cost. Mastering correct operation and maintenance rules can help operators give full play to the performance of the equipment, reduce potential safety risks, and extend the stable service cycle of the equipment.
Basic Pre-operation Inspection Specifications
Before each starting operation, operators should complete a series of simple checks first. It is necessary to confirm the remaining power of the power system to avoid sudden power failure in the middle of cross-area handling work, check the flexibility of the braking system and steering system, observe the wear degree of the fork structure to ensure there is no obvious crack or deformation, and confirm that the warning light and acousto-optic prompt system of the vehicle can work normally. Operators should also confirm that the actual load of the goods does not exceed the rated load range of the equipment, to avoid overloading operation causing extra load to the power structure.
Daily Scientific Maintenance Guidelines
Daily maintenance work does not require too much professional technical threshold, but long-term adherence can effectively reduce the failure rate of the equipment. When charging the power system, operators should use the matching power supply facilities, avoid overcharging or deep discharge for a long time, and place the equipment in a cool and ventilated area during the charging process to avoid overheating of the battery pack. Operators should regularly clean the dust and debris accumulated on the surface of the motor and heat dissipation structure, check whether the wiring connector is loose or damp, and wipe the surface of the vehicle body with dry soft cloth after finishing the daily work to prevent the corrosive material remaining on the surface from eroding the structural parts.
Scenario Adaptation Operation Tips
In different warehouse working scenarios, adjusting the operation mode appropriately can further improve operation efficiency. When the equipment is running in narrow aisles, the operator should control the running speed at a low level, and pay attention to the surrounding passing personnel and stacked goods at all times. When running on the ramp, the operator should avoid turning operation, keep the goods at the low position as far as possible to keep the center of gravity of the vehicle stable. The warehouse management team can also reasonably plan the handling route according to the actual layout of the storage area, reduce the unnecessary empty driving distance of the electric forklift, and further reduce the energy consumption per unit of handling work.
