As low-carbon logistics and green warehouse operation concepts gain wider recognition across the global industrial sector, electric forklifts have gradually become one of the most commonly used material handling equipment in various storage, manufacturing and distribution scenarios. Different from traditional internal combustion forklifts, electric forklifts rely on electric power drive, featuring relatively low noise emission and no tail gas discharge, which fits the environmental protection requirements of most closed operation sites.
Basic Performance Characteristics of Modern Electric Forklifts
Most current electric forklift products adopt optimized power output modules, which can adapt to different load weight ranges from light cargo below 1 ton to heavy cargo above 5 tons. The whole structure is designed with compact body size, which can flexibly pass through narrow warehouse aisles without occupying extra operation space. The energy consumption per unit operation hour is relatively controllable, and the vibration generated during the driving process is relatively small, which can reduce the wear of transported fragile goods to a certain extent. The modular component layout also makes subsequent part replacement and daily inspection more convenient for on-site management personnel.
Standardized Operation Guidelines for Daily Use
Before starting the electric forklift, operators need to check the remaining power status, brake sensitivity, and the flexibility of the lifting hydraulic system in advance, to rule out potential hidden troubles caused by long-term idle. During the operation process, operators should keep the driving speed matching the surrounding site conditions, avoid sudden acceleration or sharp turn, and keep the cargo in the lowest possible position when moving on the ramp to prevent the goods from slipping off. It is not recommended to carry overloaded cargo beyond the rated load range, which can effectively extend the service life of core components and reduce unnecessary operation risks for on-site personnel.
Scientific Daily Maintenance Suggestions
For the power supply module of electric forklift, operators should arrange regular charge and discharge cycles according to the official specification, avoid long-term full power storage or long-term power exhaustion status, which can maintain the overall performance of the power supply system. Operators also need to clean the dust and sundries on the surface of the motor and control panel on a regular basis, check the wear degree of tires and transmission parts at fixed intervals, and replace the worn parts in time according to the actual operation status, so as to keep the electric forklift in stable working condition for a long time.
