As low-carbon material handling solutions gain wider application across logistics, manufacturing and storage sectors, electric forklifts have become core equipment for daily cargo movement for most industrial sites. Mastering systematic knowledge of correct use and daily management helps operators reduce unnecessary operation risks and improve overall workflow smoothness.
Pre-operation Standard Inspection Process
Before starting the equipment, operators need to check the remaining power level of the power supply system first, confirm there is no obvious damage or leakage on the outer shell of the battery pack, then check the flexibility of the steering mechanism, the lifting and lowering function of the gantry, and the braking performance under no-load state. Operators also need to verify that the warning lights, horn and other safety auxiliary devices are in normal working condition, and clean the sundries on the operation pedal and driving position to avoid slipping during operation.
Daily Operation Compliance Guidelines
During operation, operators should keep the vehicle body running at a stable and appropriate speed, avoid sudden acceleration or sharp braking that may cause cargo tilting or extra loss of power components. When the equipment is lifting loaded cargo, do not move the vehicle body at will, keep the cargo 30 to 40 cm away from the ground, and lower the gantry properly when traveling on slopes or uneven ground. Operators should not overload the equipment beyond the rated load range for a long time, and avoid long-time high-load operation under high temperature or extremely low temperature environment.
Routine Maintenance and Energy Efficiency Management
After finishing daily operation, operators should park the equipment in the designated ventilation and dry area, turn off the power supply completely, and clean the dust and sundries on the surface of the equipment and the heat dissipation structure of the motor. For the charging process, use the supporting power supply facilities that match the equipment parameters, do not overcharge for a long time beyond the specified time range, and regularly check the wear degree of the tires and the lubrication state of the transmission parts. Adopting standardized daily management rules can effectively reduce the failure rate of equipment, and extend the overall service cycle of core components.
