Warehouse safety audits are core routine management tasks to eliminate potential hazards in material handling links, and electric forklifts, as the most widely used industrial handling equipment, occupy a high proportion of hidden safety risks in daily operation. A structured compliance check system for electric forklifts can effectively avoid missing key verification items during audits, and help operation teams standardize daily management rather than conduct temporary remediation before inspections.
The first module of the checklist focuses on the basic physical condition of electric forklifts. Auditors need to confirm that all exterior parts of the equipment are intact without obvious deformation or damage that affects normal operation, check that the battery compartment is sealed properly without electrolyte leakage, and the charging interface has no exposed metal parts or serious wear marks. The brake system, steering system and lifting mechanism should be tested under no-load condition to confirm that they respond sensitively and can stay in the designated position stably after operation. All light devices, horn and warning buzzers should be in normal working state, and the load marking on the vehicle body is clear and not covered by sundries.
The second module targets the compliance of operation behavior and personnel management. Auditors need to verify that all electric forklift operators hold valid corresponding operation qualification certificates, and there are no records of unqualified personnel driving the equipment without authorization in recent working days. The operation areas of electric forklifts are marked with obvious warning lines, and no irrelevant sundries occupy the dedicated driving channel. It is forbidden for operators to carry people on the fork arms, and the daily operation log of each forklift is filled in completely, recording the daily pre-shift inspection status, operation time and corresponding operator information.
The third module covers the compliance of post-operation placement and supporting environment. After daily operation, electric forklifts should be parked in the designated dedicated parking area, with the fork arms lowered to a safe position, the power supply cut off and the hand brake pulled up. The dedicated charging area is equipped with corresponding fire prevention and ventilation facilities, no open fire behavior is allowed within the 3-meter range around the charging position, and the fire-fighting equipment in the area is within the valid service period. All relevant safety warning signs around the forklift operation area are complete, and regular safety training records for operators are archived properly, no less than the frequency required by local regulatory requirements.
After finishing all check items, auditors should mark the non-compliance items one by one, and set a reasonable rectification period for the responsible team to recheck, so as to continuously optimize the overall safety management level of the warehouse and reduce the occurrence of safety accidents in material handling links.
