Against the background of global low-carbon transformation and the continuous upgrading of warehouse operation requirements, electric forklifts have gradually become one of the most widely used material handling equipment in industrial and logistics scenarios, with obvious advantages in energy consumption control, operation noise reduction and use cost optimization. Mastering the correct use logic and core operation points of such equipment can help relevant practitioners give full play to the performance of the equipment, reduce unnecessary wear and avoid potential safety risks.
Core Pre-operation Inspection Specifications
Before starting any operation, operators need to complete a series of standardized inspection steps according to the official operation manual. First, check the remaining power level of the power system to ensure that the power can support the whole day’s planned operation tasks without sudden power loss on the way, then check the wear degree of the tire structure, the flexibility of the braking system and the normal lifting performance of the gantry, and confirm that there is no abnormal sundries blocking the running track around the equipment. Operators also need to confirm that the operation space on the site is free of obstacles that may affect the normal driving route, and that the load weight of the goods to be transported is within the rated load range of the equipment.
Standardized Operation Points for Daily Scenarios
In the process of operation, operators need to keep the driving speed matching the site environment, avoid sudden acceleration and emergency braking in the narrow warehouse passage, and keep a safe distance from surrounding shelves, personnel and other operation equipment. When carrying out the lifting and stacking operation, the gantry should be adjusted to a proper backward inclination angle to ensure the stability of the goods on the fork, and the high-speed driving with the gantry in a high lifting state is prohibited, so as to prevent the goods from falling accidentally and causing safety hidden dangers. For different types of goods with different packaging forms, operators can adjust the fork spacing appropriately according to the actual size of the goods, to ensure that the stress points of the goods are evenly distributed on the fork bearing surface.
Daily Maintenance and Long Term Use Optimization
After the daily operation is completed, operators should park the equipment in the specified designated parking area, lower the gantry to the lowest horizontal position, turn off the power system and complete the necessary cleaning work of the equipment surface. The regular maintenance work can be arranged according to the actual use frequency and working environment, including the regular inspection of the battery cell state, the lubrication maintenance of the transmission parts and the calibration of the sensitive parts of the control system. Proper daily maintenance can effectively extend the service life of the equipment, reduce the failure rate in the operation process, and create more stable use value for the material handling work of the enterprise.
