The ground pressure indicator, as a core performance reference closely related to operation safety and site maintenance, is directly affected by the complete machine weight parameter beyond rated load values, which is easily ignored by equipment management personnel in daily configuration and usage.
The complete machine weight parameter here refers to the total self-weight of the equipment including installed battery modules, standard attachments and matching counterweight parts, excluding the extra weight of temporarily carried cargo. In actual operation, the contact area between each solid or pneumatic tire of the warehouse truck and the ground is relatively fixed under normal tire pressure conditions, the change of complete machine weight will directly affect the average pressure exerted on the unit area of the ground, and change the stress distribution state of the pavement in the operation area.
If the complete machine weight is beyond the reasonable matching range, excessive ground pressure may leave permanent indentations on resin floors, epoxy floors and other special pavements that are commonly paved in modern warehouses, which will not only increase the cost of pavement maintenance, but also bring hidden dangers to the stability of subsequent pallet trucks and manual handling equipment passing through. In some narrow aisle operation scenarios, uneven ground pressure distribution caused by mismatched complete machine weight may also lead to slight slip deviation of the truck during frequent acceleration and deceleration, which will reduce the operation precision of material picking and placing.
When selecting and configuring electric warehouse trucks, relevant personnel can match the complete machine weight parameter according to the rated bearing capacity of the operation site pavement. For scenes with high requirements on pavement protection, it is feasible to properly optimize the weight distribution structure of the equipment on the premise of ensuring the operation stability of the whole machine, so as to control the ground pressure value within the allowable range of the pavement. In daily operation, staff should also check the fixation state of additional counterweight parts regularly, avoid random installation of non-matching additional accessories that increase extra self-weight, so as to keep the complete machine weight parameter within the preset reasonable interval, ensure that the ground pressure remains at the safe and stable level during full load and no-load operation.
