As low-carbon logistics becomes the mainstream development trend of the modern industrial sector, electric forklifts have gradually become the preferred material handling equipment for most indoor and closed operation scenarios. Unlike traditional fuel-powered handling equipment, electric forklifts rely on on-board energy storage units to provide power output, with lower noise and zero local emission during operation, which can better adapt to the requirements of environmental protection and employee health protection in closed operation spaces.
Core Functional Advantages of Electric Forklifts in Common Scenarios
Most electric forklift products on the current market can meet the handling requirements of goods with load ranging from 1 ton to 5 tons, and their power output system can provide stable torque at low speed, which ensures smooth movement when carrying heavy loads on ramp or uneven ground. The operation control system of electric forklifts is usually designed with humanized logic, and operators can complete steering, lifting and other actions through simplified operation levers or sensors, without complex operation adjustment processes required by traditional fuel equipment, which reduces the learning threshold for new operators to a certain extent. The overall operation noise of electric forklifts is much lower than that of fuel models, which can reduce the noise interference to surrounding staff when working for a long time in enclosed warehouse space.
Standardized Operation Norms to Avoid Unnecessary Equipment Loss
In the daily use process, operators should first conduct pre-use inspection before starting the equipment every shift, focusing on checking the remaining power of the energy storage unit, the flexibility of the braking system, and whether the hydraulic lifting structure has abnormal seepage. When operating the equipment, it is not recommended to carry out sudden acceleration, sudden braking and frequent sharp steering actions under full load state for a long time, which will cause additional wear to the power output motor and walking transmission structure. In the process of picking and placing goods, operators should keep the goods in the lowest safe height when moving, and avoid lifting the load to a high position for long-distance driving, so as to reduce the risk of goods falling and the extra load on the gantry structure. Operators should also arrange the operation route reasonably according to the site conditions, and try to avoid long-term driving on the ground with obvious pits and sundries.
Routine Maintenance Points to Extend Equipment Service Cycle
Regular daily maintenance can effectively reduce the failure rate of electric forklifts in long-term operation. Users should arrange special personnel to clean the dust and debris accumulated on the surface of the motor and energy storage module every fixed cycle, check the connection tightness of the power line, and avoid poor contact caused by long-term vibration. It is not recommended to leave the energy storage unit in a state of extremely low power for a long time after the operation is finished, and the charging operation should be carried out in a dry, ventilated and temperature-adapted special area, so as to maintain the normal performance of the energy storage unit. The wearing parts such as walking wheels and brake pads should also be inspected regularly, and replaced in time when the wear degree reaches the preset standard, to avoid potential safety hazards in the operation process.
