As low-carbon logistics development gains wider popularity across industrial storage scenarios, electric forklifts have gradually become one of the most widely applied material handling tools for different-sized warehousing operations. Mastering core operation and maintenance rules can effectively extend the service life of equipment, reduce unexpected operation costs, and improve overall handling efficiency.
Basic Safe Operation Norms
All operators need to receive systematic pre-job training before formal use of electric forklifts, to get familiar with the basic structure, control logic and load limit parameters of the equipment. Before each starting of the machine, operators need to check the working state of the braking system, remaining battery power, and the flexible degree of the mast lifting structure, to rule out hidden risks in advance. In the daily operation process, personnel should not overload the equipment beyond the rated load range, keep stable running speed in narrow warehouse aisles, and pay continuous attention to the surrounding moving staff and stacked goods to avoid collision accidents. When driving on sloped areas, operators need to keep the goods at the low position, move at a stable low speed, and do not turn on the slope to avoid side slip.
Daily Routine Maintenance Essentials
After each daily operation task, staff can wipe the dust and scattered material residues on the surface of the car body in time, to prevent sundries from entering the gap of the mechanical structure and causing abnormal wear. It is recommended to check the connection state of the battery pole contacts regularly, keep the contact surface clean and firm, to avoid unstable power supply caused by loose or oxidized contacts. Operators should avoid over-discharging the battery to the shutdown state for a long time, place the charger in a ventilated and dry area away from flammable and explosive goods during the charging process, and do not cover the heat dissipation holes of the equipment. In the regular inspection process, personnel can check the sealing performance of the hydraulic system, observe the wear degree of the solid tire, and replace the aging accessories in time according to the actual wear condition.
Scenario Adaptation and Performance Optimization Suggestions
For different specific application scenarios, staff can adjust the equipment parameters appropriately to get better use effect. For narrow channel storage scenarios that require frequent steering, you can properly adjust the maximum speed limit of the equipment to a lower range, which can reduce the steering difficulty and improve the operation safety. For low temperature operating environments, you can properly preheat the battery module before starting, to reduce the influence of low temperature on the battery cycle performance. If the equipment needs to be left idle for a long time, it is recommended to supplement the charge once a week, keep the battery power in a reasonable range, to avoid irreversible performance attenuation caused by long-term power loss.
