Before launching the facility modification work, it is recommended to complete a full-scale on-site condition survey first. You need to confirm the total load allowance of the existing power supply system on the site, record the actual line path of the low-voltage power distribution cabinet leading to the planned charging area, and check the ground flatness, load-bearing capacity and drainage condition of the target placement area. You can also communicate with the property management or local fire management department in advance to clarify the local mandatory requirements for electric vehicle charging facility deployment, to avoid subsequent non-compliance problems.
The next step is to complete the reasonable layout adjustment of the charging area. It is suggested to arrange the centralized charging area in the corner area far away from the high-frequency pedestrian passage and flammable material storage area, reserve enough turning and docking space for the forklift to enter and exit, and lay non-slip and anti-seepage treatment on the ground of the charging area. Set up eye-catching safety warning signs around the area, and no other irrelevant sundries shall be stacked within the specified range around the charging equipment. The distance between the charging area and the surrounding operating lines of the handling equipment should also be reasonably controlled to reduce the risk of accidental collision.
Then you can carry out the matching modification of auxiliary supporting facilities. According to the size and heat dissipation requirements of the selected charging equipment, reserve enough ventilation space around the equipment, set up a special emergency power-off switch within the easy-to-reach range of the management personnel, and do insulation and anti-collision casing protection for all exposed power transmission lines to avoid line damage caused by accidental scratching of operation tools. You can also configure a proper number of qualified fire-fighting facilities at the edge of the charging area according to the actual scale of the deployed charging equipment.
After all the modification works are finished, you need to complete the full-load operation test of the whole charging system to confirm the stability of power supply and the normal operation of all protection devices. It is also necessary to provide basic operation training for on-site forklift drivers and facility management personnel, to ensure that all personnel can master the correct charging operation process and abnormal situation response procedures. You can also adjust the access route of the charging area dynamically according to the actual daily working schedule of the forklift fleet, so as to balance the charging demand and daily handling operation efficiency of the site.
